River run dog training takes a lot of care and knowledge prior to setting up daycare days. We only accept a small number of dogs unlike your big daycare facilities that take in 20 plus daycare dogs in a given day. We strive to keep things very small. You hear about dog fights happening at daycares all the time and sadly taking in such a large number of dogs all with different personalities and breed traits it's impossible to monitor so many at once. There is also a risk of injury due to play in an uncontrolled environment. Fights are more likely to break out and pack mentality sets in where dogs team up on individuals. It also doesn't help that most employees at daycare centers are not professionals at dog body language. Another thing at big daycare facilities is a risk of overstimulation. At River run we can monitor your dogs every move, and we do even when I go to the bathroom your dog is following me. We have complete control of the environment and all dogs feel safe because they are safe. It is very important to us to never let a dog overstimulate. We practice and teach every dog calming techniques while at daycare and encourage breaks. We teach them how to relax and turn off. Constantly being on is no good for any dog. We are in a home environment which helps keep dogs feeling comfortable. We teach all daycare dogs boundaries and good manner. Yes, we let dogs be dogs by running and playing in the yard but we set our daycare dogs up for appropriate play and do not allow bullying or rude behavior. We are also very honest with the owners, if your dog didn't have a good day or did something bad we're going to tell you and help you and your dog. We also will happily make adjustments here to cater to your dog's individual needs. We want your dog happy here and we want your dog to be the best he/she can be. If you have any questions about our dog daycare please reach out. You can call me or text me at 724-678-8190. If you would like references of people who attend daycare with me I'd be happy to give you those as well. I know it can be scary given all the absolute horror stories about daycare and I would love to put your mind at ease.
Daycare days are on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
We do offer pick up and drop off.
If you would like to drop your baby off you can do so as early as 7am and pick up as late as 6pm. If you need different hours I may be able to accommodate just ask and I will do my absolute best to work with you.
